A Background Trait represents a characteristic intrinsic to a viking, or some ineffable mark of their past that may influence roleplaying or provide some mechanical benefit or drawback. Characters may have one Background Trait, chosen at character creation.
Some Background Traits have Physrep Requirements. You must meet the Physrep Requirements at all times to gain their benefit.
If you wish to change your Background Trait after character creation, contact Staff for approval between events.

After 5 minutes have passed, or sooner if an ally uses a 'Revive' effect on your Backup Drive, you may spend 1 Attunement to return to game alive and with full Will. Unbreakable Word | Increase Max Willpower by 1. You may not knowingly speak a blatant lie or break a promise. If you do, your maximum Will reduces to 1 until you make amends. However, you may choose to use the truth in a deceptive manner, such as saying something true in a way that might be misconstrued, or adhering to the exact letter of an oath in a way that is not intended. | N/A |
Heart of Steel | Some or all of you is mechanical. Demolish effects that hit your limbs are treated as Sever effects, and may only be treated with a Fix effect.
