Overview

Broadly, Favor represents the disposition of a supercorp or individual NPC towards a viking or Player Faction.

The Anchor NPC’s Favor

The Anchor NPC is an out of character title for the Viking Program’s current authority figure. This is the individual who begins and ends the Feast and conducts various ceremonies in the Great Hall. The identity of this person may shift from time to time as events unfold in the world of Valhalla.

Earning the Anchor NPC’s Favor earns a Player Faction or independent viking certain perks in the following event. In order to win that Favor, vikings must achieve Feats.

Feats are in-character accomplishments won by engaging with certain aspects of Valhalla, including other players. The following are Feats that will appear in at every event where the Anchor NPC’s Favor can be won:

Note that the above is not an exhaustive list.

Feats are weighted and measured based on a variety of factors. Some take into account the size of a Player Faction (always 1 for independent vikings), others are awarded for participation, and still others only count for the highest level of achievement.

The viking(s) who earned the Favor will usually be announced at the final Feast. They will be ineligible to compete for it again for the next event.
