Overview

Your lineage indicates cultural and aesthetic aspects of your character.

All lineages except Human have a costume requirement. A player who fails to adhere to the costume requirement will result in their character being regarded as a human.

Lineage Key aspects
Human Ubiquitous, adaptable
Elf Mystical, long-lived
Mogrif Animalistic, faithful
Yetton Strong, curious
Avarix Winged, competitive
Elemen Mysterious, elemental
Nefari Horned, resilient
Sankta Glowing, impartial
Construct Mechanical, eidetic memory

Human

Relatively, humans are the most recent lineage to emerge into civilized space. As a result, many humans are quick to adapt to new worlds and are happy to assimilate with local cultures. Such humans have communities within the yetton worlds, and some have been known to join groups of elves or mogrif. Groups of ambitious Humans have colonized a few worlds of their own, including Etheriet, but these are few and far between.

Costume Requirements

None

Elf

The longest lived of all Lineages and masters of magitek, the elves were the first to pioneer generation ships. They are also credited with the creation of constructs to assist in storing their memories.

Costume Requirements

Pointed Ears and eyeshadow or eyeliner. **

Mogrif

Sometimes called beast-folk, mogrif appear as humanoids with animal features. Widely regarded as the most faithful of lineages, a mogrif vow is taken only with the utmost seriousness.

Many mogrif consider the avarix and nefari as offshoots, or even the same lineage as their own.

Costume Requirements

You must wear at least one animal trait on your head (such as cat ears, a muzzle, or scales on your face), and you must wear at least 1 trait on your body (usually a tail, but it could be a shell, scales over your body, or some other unique characteristic). Note: it is possible that other players might mistake a mogrif with wings, horns, tusks or bioluminescence for another lineage. Please avoid these costume elements unless you can make it extra clear that your viking is a mogrif.

Yetton

The first species to explore the stars, the yetton were originally giants on their homeworld. In order to meet the demands of spaceflight, their lineage underwent genetic changes that shrank them to be roughly in line with the other lineages. As a result of this change, yetton are stronger and more dense on average. They retain their natural curiosity however, the surest way to distract a yetton is to hand them an interesting puzzle.

Costume Requirements

Obvious tusks or fangs.

Avarix

The yetton were the first lineage to travel the stars, but the winged avarix are by far the most wide-reaching. Avarix tend to be competitive, whatever their domain of expertise.
