Items & Equipment Database

🟪 QR Codes (Glyphs)

QR codes with the Project: Valhalla symbol in the center are considered IG. You will find them on tagged items, and other glyphs may contain lore entries, equipment instructions, etc. You are encouraged to scan glyphs using your smartphone (IG: your “data tablet”) to find out what they mean. If you do not have a device that can scan QR codes, Staff may have some to loan out.

🟪 Tagged Items and Carded Items

A tagged item is a real-world object with a glyph (QR code) physically attached to it in some way. Players can freely scan the glyph with their smartphone or other devices to get information about the object.

The properties of tagged items are obvious to any character who can see the glyph and not intended to be secret, unless otherwise specified.

Carded items are cards with glyphs on them, they represent items that do not require a physrep. Carded items expire at the end of the event at which they were issued, unless otherwise specified. A typical example of a carded item is a Meal.

Specifications for weapon props can be found on the Combat page.

🟪 Durability

Items with Durability lose 1 Durability at the start of an event. Any item with 0 Durability at the start of an event is permanently destroyed. Items, such as Meals, that have 0 Durability effectively last until the end of an event.

Please note that only events actually attended by the player in possession of the item reduce Durability.

Item Name Durability
Most Equipment 12
Reusable Gizmos 6
Single-use Gizmos 3
Consumables 0

🔶 Locks and Containers

Targeting a container with a Demolish Effect destroys the container and anything inside it. A container can contain any number of tagged or carded items that would reasonably fit inside it.

There are three kinds of locks in Project: Valhalla: diegetic, exegetic and Player Crafted. All locks require use of the Lockpicking Ability to interact with.

An exegetic lock will have an envelope attached with a lock symbol on it, usually on the lock itself or on the door, container, etc it’s attached to. You may open the envelope and follow the instructions inside to attempt to pick the lock. If you have a key that corresponds to the number on the envelope, you may lock and unlock it freely. (If you do so, do not open the attached envelope).

A diegetic lock is a padlock-shaped prop or puzzle with a lock symbol on it. You may attempt to pick the lock with the provided lockpick(s) only.

A Player Crafted lock may only be unlocked

Do not use actual lock picks or attempt to brute-force combination locks. All IG locks will have the Project: Valhalla on them, do not attempt to open locks without the logo!
