Feasts are both a real-life meal break for players and Staff as well as a discrete block of time where certain in-game activities take place in the Great Hall. It is also the only opportunity for vikings to restore their spent Attributes. There will be one to four Feasts per event, with a duration of at least 45 minutes each. The number and timing of Feasts will be posted in advance on the schedule.
Vikings can consume a single Meal per Feast. At check-in, all vikings are issued one Primitive Meal per scheduled Feast.
Serving a meal requires 5 minutes of active roleplay either simulating or actually preparing a meal. Players are strongly encouraged to use this time to prepare their real life meals. Each player who helps prepare an actual meal at the chef’s discretion (for example: by helping with food prep, place setting or cleanup, etc) increases the number of meals as described by the Culinary ability.
Seating in the Great Hall is organized by Player Faction. Players must sit with their Player Faction during certain activities, including the Feast. Similarly, Independent players must sit together in a single group.
It is customary for vikings to boast of their achievements or make toasts (honest or snarky) when their comrades are all gathered for the feast.
Performances during the Feast are highly encouraged. See The Bardic Arts
