A massive, decrepit generation ship, home to thousands of civilians evacuated from the planet Etheriet, spending the long journey frozen in cryosleep. Fenris is also the name of the ship’s AI, which was programmed by COLOR NeTworks at the behest of Daihachi Unlimited CEO Aura XIII.
Aura Daihachi XIV is the current Captain of the Fenris.

Not much is known about the Fenris AI. One thing is clear though: there is something strange about its behavior. In January xx25, vikings uncovered datalogs showing that the Fenris AI attempted to access the shipside fabrication systems, leading to an overload in the primary datacore and the loss of many autofactory blueprints. Theories abound as to why, but none have been conclusively proven.

As a failsafe against hostile action, the ship is keyed to Aura XIV’s unique biometric data. If Aura is removed from the ship or killed, a failsafe will trigger. This will cause an irreversible, catastrophic chain reaction in the ship’s main drive that will destroy the ship, everyone aboard it, and everything within hundreds of miles.

Under the direction of Aura Daihachi XIII, a call was put out to any able-bodied individuals who had skills to contribute to the continued survival of the Fenris. These vikings serve a special function aboard the Fenris: rather than spending their days in cryosleep, they descend planetside to uncover valuable resources and intel. Without the vikings, the ship would be unable to outpace the Maelstrom.
Since the Fenris began its desperate flight from Etheriet, the Captain has opted to continue the program and allow new vikings to join.
The Great Hall is the Fenris’s deployable habitation unit and its largest atmospheric shuttle. The Great Hall serves as the planetside staging area for vikings. The Great Hall lander includes sub-modules that serve as housing, refinement and fabrication facilities, and other functionality. Most notably, the Great Hall lander has a number of empty expansion slots that could be customized with whatever modules vikings deem necessary.
In addition to the Captain and vikings, the Fenris hosts a sizable crew to tend to everyday operations. Notable crew members can be found on the Fenris Crew Manifest.
