The following Abilities do not require a specific License to use.

Universal Abilities

Note: All vikings start with these Abilities for free

Name Cost Description
Recover N/A Spend 10 minutes resting, using no abilities and suffering no Effects, to gain a Recover Effect targeting yourself (Regain all Will and 1 Attunement, gain 5 HP).
Pick Up None 5 count: simulate picking up another willing or Downed character.
Delivery Downgrade None Any Aim effect may be delivered via Packet or Melee, any Packet effect may be delivered via Melee, any Melee effect may be delivered via Touch. This can stack with itself (e.g., a Packet effect may be delivered via Touch).

Combat

Basic Defenses Variable You can spend 1 Vitality to call "Crunch!"
You can spend 1 Arcana to call "Arcane!" (the defense)

Arcane Infusion 1 Arcana Replace the element called in an effect you produce with "Arcane". An effect using the Arcane Element cannot be resisted except through spending an Arcana or with other specific rare defenses. If the effect produced normally has a Will or Vitality cost, this expended point of Arcane pays the cost instead.

Basic Weapon Proficiency None You may wield one Small melee weapon, which deals 1 damage per hit.

See ‣ for weapon parameters. | | Killing Blow | None | Point your weapon at a Downed target and complete a "Killing Blow" 10-count. At the end of this count, the Downed target is now Dead. If they were not actually dead but merely pretending to be dead, they are now Downed. |

Explore

Ability Name Cost Description
Explore 2 Will Used to interact with the Explore Map. See: Explore Actions
Forage 2 Will Spend 2 Will: Pick up a Forage card.
Sneak 2 Will Make a “Hiding” 5 count, then enter the Concealed stance.

Settlement

Ability Name Cost Description
Basic Leadership 1 Leadership You may spend a point of Leadership in order to Aim deliver one of these 3 Command Effects:
"I Command you to fight me"
"I Command you to retreat"
"I Command you to be calm"
Use Radiation Box Per-Event At check-in, receive a number of Primitive meals equal to the number of Feasts for the event.
Status Check N/A Spend 30s roleplaying examining a character who is willing or unable to resist. At the end of 30s, call “Status Check”. The target must then reveal their current HP and any active Injury or Status Effects.

Extra Abilities

The following Abilities may be purchased for XP

Secondary Attribute 40 XP This ability may be purchased multiple times.

The first time you purchase this ability, choose an Attribute to be your Secondary Attribute. Each time you purchase this Ability, you may increase your Secondary Attribute by 1 to a maximum of 3. | | Improve Primary Attribute | 30 XP | This ability may be purchased multiple times.
