🟦 Overview

All vikings start with some basic equipment provided by Fenris crew to help them get started on an expedition. However, with resources being as tight as they are, the Board can’t spare much more than this.

At character creation, you may choose one of the following equipment packages. All items in an equipment package are character-locked, i.e., cannot be traded to or used by any other characters, and will have lower than usual Durability.

Combat Package

• Recommended for characters focused on Combat
• One Milspec Small Melee Weapon
• Your choice of either one Milspec Shield or one of any other Milspec Weapon (ranged or melee)

Settlement Package

• Recommended for characters focused on Settlement and Crafting
• One Milspec Small Melee Weapon
• Your choice of one of the following Resource Supply Boxes, that each contain supplies usable for crafting (the crafted items are not character-locked):
  • Artisan Cache: 3 Hard Metal, 2 Ceramics, 1 Soft Alloy (this is enough to produce at least three to five pieces of basic equipment)
  • Culinarian Cache: 6 Starch, 6 Vegetables (this is enough to produce three rounds of Basic Meals)

Exploration Package

• Recommended for characters focused on Exploration
• One Military-Grade Small Melee Weapon
• Your choice of one of the following Gizmos:
  • Milspec Material Scanner
  • Milspec Ruins Sweeper
  • A pack of 3 Milspec Radar Drones
