Combat in the Great Hall is forbidden. Boffers, dart blasters, open flame, cooking knives, and hot soup don’t mix! If you’re not sure whether what you’re doing counts as “combat” or not, ask Staff!

Overview

The Great Hall is where vikings gather to Feast, to share what they have learned and hold important ceremonies essential to the function of the Viking Program.

Violence of any kind is forbidden in the Great Hall, and those who violate this simple rule will face harsh consequences. See: Crime & Justice

Attendance and Seating

Seating in the Great Hall is organized by Player Faction. Players must sit with their Player Faction during certain activities, including the Feast. Similarly, Independent vikings must sit together in a single group.

The Peace Bucket

In character, no weapons are permitted within the Great Hall at any time. The Viking Program has provided a special designated location just outside the Great Hall for vikings to deposit their weapons before entering, called the “Peace Bucket”. It is considered a highly dishonorable act to remove a weapon that does not belong to you from the Peace Bucket.

🪙 Hospitality Tokens

All players have Hospitality Tokens to distribute to anyone outside their faction who makes them feel welcome in the Great Hall, in or out of character. Hospitality Tokens are issued to players at check-in and collected at the end of the event.

Any given viking may give ONE (1) hospitality token to another viking to signify appreciation for hospitality extended during an event. I.E., Viking A may not give more than one token to Viking B at a single event.

Additionally, vikings may only give out hospitality tokens that they started an event with. I.E., Viking A cannot receive a token from Viking B, then give that same token to Viking C.
